Bellefontaine’s downtown advocates are making a push to bring fresh perspectives to the 2026 Main Street Now Conference, scheduled for May 3-5 in Detroit. The event is a key gathering for those invested in main street revitalization, historic preservation, and small business growth. Organizers want local voices to step forward as speakers, sharing successful projects, innovative ideas, or lessons learned from Bellefontaine’s efforts to breathe new life into its historic core.
The call for speakers emphasizes the importance of diverse experiences, from small business owners to preservationists, to help inspire others across the country. The conference provides a platform for communities like Bellefontaine to showcase their work and connect with peers who are tackling similar challenges. Those interested are encouraged to submit proposals that reflect practical, place-based strategies that can be replicated in other small towns.
While the conference is a national event, the focus remains rooted in real-world, tangible results. The event also offers early registration discounts and tips on accommodations, making it easier for attendees and speakers to plan their trip.
